About This Project
This bathroom restoration highlights our ability to work with precise, heavy-bodied tiling to establish clean geometries and sophisticated interior layouts. By shifting away from traditional glazed surfaces, we utilized natural stone field tiles to deliver structural durability and an earthy, refined atmosphere. Structured Stone Textures & Layout Alignment: The vertical surfaces are wrapped in large-format stone tiles, carefully grouped in a horizontal offset pattern to maximize visual width. The flat-profile tiles feature a soft, honed finish that highlights natural variegated detailing, transitioning through rich charcoal tones, deep grays, and soft sandy hues. This geometric alignment creates clean, seamless transitions along the corner fields, balancing the organic character of the stone with a distinctly crisp, modern boundary line. Precision Mechanical Integration & Mosaic Detailing: Tiling with large, dense stone products requires exact technical execution. We flush-integrated the contemporary hardware assemblies and pressure-balancing control valves directly with the stone face for a clean visual profile. The structural lines transition smoothly to a square mosaic tile floor pan underfoot, anchoring the composition. Bordered by minimal, low-profile tracking channels for a premium custom enclosure, the completed build balances clean-lined craftsmanship with timeless architectural textures.
