About This Project
This kitchen renovation honors the warmth of its original knotty pine cabin character while injecting it with modern utility and bold design choices. The existing pine cabinetry, walls, ceiling, and wide-plank floors were preserved and refreshed, then paired with bright white quartz countertops that instantly lighten the space and provide a clean canvas for cooking and entertaining. A trio of oversized matte black dome pendant lights with brass accents anchors the central island, while matte black appliances, including a Bosch range and counter-depth refrigerator, plus a deep matte black apron-front farmhouse sink and matching pull-down faucet, create striking contrast against the warm wood tones. Under-cabinet lighting illuminates the pine plank backsplash, completing a kitchen that feels rooted in cabin tradition but ready for everyday modern living.
